Crossed over into Washington and Beacon Rock State Park in order to do this mid-week hike… The elevation gain in the beginning was *fun* but made the way back pretty relaxing and easy. The endpoint of this hike is a waterfall called Pool of the Winds and there has been a log lodged right in the middle of it for at least 50 years. When we got there we met a grandpa hiking with his grandson and he said the log had been there since he first did the hike at 14 but he was sure it was there for even longer.

beautiful photos!
