Attempted doing some star trails from my backyard in Portland… Seems the light pollution wasn’t too horrible, even caught a shooting star 😉 Luckily I made the trails by stacking a bunch of 30 second exposures so I was able to remove the airplane light trails out of the final photo.

Very cool! Great that you’ve not got much light pollution in your shot, I tried it recently and got loads! Love the final result!

How cool is that!!! Would you mind sharing what program you use to stack the photos? I’ve never done it, but would love to try sometime.

I just used photoshop but there are other programs that you can buy that will stack them a little nicer and fill in the tiny gaps from airplanes but I haven’t really looked into those
