The small part of the lunar eclipse that was visible to me I decided to goof off with and look and with an array of different shutter speeds… I started slow 2″ and sped up from there
And then I got some shots of the stars for fun, but I was a bit too close to sunrise to really get good star shots

The moon phase photo looks so great enlarged with all the graininess. Would make a nice print!

Interesting…the slower the speed was catching the light creeping off the surface? The faster was quick enough to give you a crisper image? Is that right? Wow…I will read your site carefully..thank you!:)

That’s right. If the shutter speed is too slow then too much light floods the sensor and there is no detail
